On show now at the Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm, Sweden until January 8, 2012 is the work of the great Nick Brandt. The London native director and photographer has spent decades documenting the wildlife left in East Africa, and now the slow deteriorating process caused by mankind of the remaining species. Brandt has been another inspiration since he first started his project, largely imitated and is one of the rare breed of photographers who’s works purpose is beyond the box of commercial success. Preservation of life is priority, and through his unique vision he’s able to spread awareness and share a worldly view on the precious life that’s disappearing in Africa.
